Afternoon In Inokashira Koen

Hello again and apologies to the RSS feed subscribers who copped my grumpy whiney post from last night (which I deleted as soon as I woke up this morning)..... Let's try a far silkier update on what's been going on in this little part of Planet Tokyo....

Apart from working too hard and not exercising enough... ok, not exercising AT ALL (meaning I'm probably the biggest I've ever been), things are generally pretty ace. Work is great, albeit exhausting. I'm excited about photography again with the purchase of Lightroom and a really fun shoot with a U.S. writer on the weekend (more on that later). And hey, less than 6 weeks till my big summer trip through India and other parts as yet unknown (either Bali, Borneo or Sumatra - any suggestions?).

Wish there were, like, 26 hours in a day. I really do. I just need a few more hours a day..... Expect posts to remain thin and far-apart, but do check my flickr page occasionally. I will try to put new stuff up as often as I am able. I remain a shoddy correspondent, please don't take it personally if my email replies to you are tardy, short & shallow or simply non-existant. I do have the best of intentions, but my intentions have been crumbling into dust too easily lately. What's happened to me? I'm turning into one of those tired, soul-less, selfish big-city pigs. Gads. Feel free to kick my ass.

Oh yeah, the pic's above are from our beautiful park, Inokashira Koen, and my good buddy Andrea Innocent, artist extraordinaire and sweetie. She's in town but heading back to Melbourne town this weekend..... haven't seen anywhere nearly enough of her and in fact was supposed to meet her tonight but .... after 8 lessons I couldn't cope with the idea of meeting in Kabukicho for a rushed get-together.... (sorry babe).

Midnight. I'm gonna turn into a pumpkin if I don't get my ass off to bed. Facing 4 classes of 30 hyper-active 6 year olds from 8.30 a.m. is daunting at the best of times.

Ciao ciao.

The complete removal of our lives from the yamanote line will be finalised next week but we officially have an apartment a coupla mins from Nishi-Ogikubo station.
Can't wait to dig around in that glorious park!

Sushi, that's awesome. Let's beer in somewhere! :)

Anne, thanks - actually, today I got an afternoon free so was able to ride my bike from North Kichijoji to Takaido (about 30 minutes) and go for a 30 minute swim and then ride back to my house. It feels great! Need to do more of that.

Dear Auntie Marty, Thanks so much for a beautiful weekend. I wanted to see more of you too, but thems the breaks in this big city. I dont know where the time has gone to be honest, I know Ive been doing stuff but cant seem to compute my time here yet. I presume when I head back to chilly Melbourne I will be having some hermit time in the house and maybe then I will be able to comprehend that month that was... love you heaps darling and please look after yourself. There`s a soft double bed in our house thats waiting for you should you wanna visit!
