Spent much of the weekend tinkering away at the back end of the site and am happy to report that, for the most part, everything went pretty smoothly - if you notice anything weird, please let me know.... Oh, and Typekey is NOT working yet, so don't bother trying to sign in using Typekey to comment. Normal comments are working fine. I think... feel free to test it though....

Here's what I did:
Fixed the RSS Feed link problem,
Changed my archive pathmaps from dirify to base-names, and added a little script to redirect so old permalinks should still work...
Tidied up the design a little including adding a new transparent gif for Aussie Blogs (wish the Japan blogring code looked tidier though),
Installed a couple of cool plugins and, best of all,
upgraded to Movable Type 3.3 which was actually surprisingly painless!
There are still a few little upgrade glitches - for some reason my MT control panel is using some elements from the site's CSS rather than the MT CSS - the main background colour is the same colour as this page here!!! Any suggestions? This one is particularly bugging me.
I installed a few Plugins coz they make blogging so much fun. Here's the list so far (and will be added to as I have time):
1. I finally added (Tokyo's very own) Patricks AddComment plugin, which I've been meaning to do for ages (Thanks Patrick, it's a bloody great plugin);
2. Jay Allen's cool anti-spam plugin Comment Challenge has been added to the anti-spam arsenal. This one affects you guys because you will now be asked to answer a challenge question every time you post a comment. It's really easy, and already, I can see in my activity log that it has stopped about 30 spams since I installed it last night. It just proves you are human and not a spam robot.
And when I can get the fucker to stop breaking my back-end, I will be installing MT Blogroll so I can put my links on the blog rather than on a separate page. That Arvind is a frikken genius and he's only 16.
Anyway, me body has calcified into a hunched old thing with claws tapping the keyboard so I must get away from this computer and enjoy the days sunshine. Having lunch with Tyler today. Yay.
