On the way back from Australia, I got to spend 24 hours in Taipei with a friend of a friend, Stephen. We had met in Tokyo before he moved to Taipei to study Mandarin and I was really interested to hear his observations on the differences between the 2 cities and cultures. We spent heaps of time walking and talking around the streets. It was a pretty special experience for me, I thoroughly enjoyed experiencing Chinese culture for the first time.

I don't have much time to write and upload right now (hey, what's new?!) but I do have the best of intentions to upload a new gallery and write some more about the chaotic, crumbling, damp vitality of Taipei.

Don't quite know how it happened cause I swore it wouldn't happen again but it seems I am working 10 hour days again and doing heaps of train time and this doesn't make me happy. Need to do some culling of lessons in far away places so I can spend more time on photography and web stuff....

Juggs, can't wait to see you and E again. Thanks for the kind words, buddy.

Nic, thanks! You're so sweet. Yup, reflections rock.
