In Japan everything that runs annually starts in April - schools and university years, the tax year, the new intake of staff at companies, new wait-staff at restaurants and cafes... e.v.e.r.y.t.h.i.n.g. - all this on top of the annual wild displays of public intoxication under cherry blossom trees all over the country makes for a heady mix of well.... insanity.
And on the verge of insanity is where I am living right now. School entrance ceremonies, staff meetings and lesson preparation, my usual circuit of around 19 private students and not 1, not 2, but 3 photo jobs to be completed.... Over the weekend I managed to finish 2 of the 3 jobs, and made a serious dent in the wedding photo prep's.
I bought a Holga a few weeks ago and have been absolutely delighted with the results. Now I just have to work out how to use this cheapy scanner I'm using to show them off to people. The photo above was taken at Yoyogi park last week-end at the wedding. Hope it looks OK on your monitor - I know that mac's are much brighter than windows machines so it may be too dark. Please let me know if it is.
Anyways, gotta run. More soon, got heaps of pics to show you.
