Kabuki and kimono's

Yoko, Nana, Me, Misaki and Naomi at the Tokyo National Theatre for a kabuki show a few weeks ago. They all work at Mint Hair Salon.

Tsushi and Haku

The boys from Mint Salon, Tsushi and Haku. You may remember them from the Christmas photos...

Guess who just got her long lost Powerbook back? With ALL data saved! There was a knock at the door, and there was the delivery box... just like that. Glad it didn't take the month they said it would....

Anyway, these photos were taken what seems like ages ago, just before the computer went for it's little adventure, and I was disconsolate at the thought they might be lost... it was SUCH a great day, we had a ball, and it went on till late in a cool little restaurant in Naka Meguro where we drank wine and ate excellent traditional style Japanese food till we were all stumbling and mumbling. It must have made a weird sight - a really drunk hakujin in a kimono stumbling (well, trotting actually, doing little kimono steps) home through Shibuya and then riding a bike home from the station..... that part was real tricky but great fun.

Hot stuff there, Marti. Woooohoo!

Nice shot under Misaki's arm of the other folks lookin' back at you. Too bad ya can't zoom in and see their faces.

Had a chance to chat with a nice lady from Melbourne during SXSW--I mentioned your site (ya know, like, "You from Dallas? You know Leroy?!")--I pronounced it "Frahn-gi-pahni," and she laughed at me, saying "That's funny, in Australia we say "frAn-guh-pAni!" I felt dumb... ^-^

To all: I'm gonna be away from my computer for 2 days so some comments may not appear straight away, I apologise now....

Kinda hard not being involved in SXSW in some way if you live in Austin... Believe me, I tried...
