Love the red in an otherwise black and white scene. Any way to donate by paypal rather than do all that google clicking????

Great contrast! Red bridge and white snow. The new camera is really great. I thing part of my tax money is going for a Canon digital SLR.

Brrrr....very cold here, but at least no snow (yet)! Beautiful shot and I agree with arumanda, Mike and cara....the red really brings out the contrast.

Sorry folks, have hardly been home for 2 days...

Amanda, it's at Jindaiji Temple in Chofu. There is a great onsen here too, and a botanic garden just down the road.

Mike, I do have a paypal account available - interested parties can send donations to my email address ( martine AT frangipani (.) info - but feel free to make use of those google ads any time you visit the page....

Cara, yes, my new camera is bewdiful, I am starting to learn a few tricks... and the lens is just beautiful. Reading the manual is kinda helpful... have fun buying your new camera.

Eric, thanks very much! I've heard rumours that it's been the coldest winter for decades in Japan (I am sure J. Sensei will correct me with his/her usual attention to details if those rumours are wrong, won't you, deary) - the snow was just beatiful and fell heavily all day, got some great pics but jad no time to do anything with them yet....
