When I got my tattoo done back in July, I mentioned that Darin had helped my tattooist, Aureole, get a hold of a really cool book of traditional Japanese designs, and that we used this book as the basis for my design. Quite a few people have since asked me about this book (which is actually one of a series of three gorgeous books) and so in a fit of "gotta find something to do to help pass the time", I went out and bought all three of them and put them to auction at Ebay. They start at $12USD. If this experiment works out OK then I will most definitely be doing more Ebay stuff - so send in your requests, all you non-Japan based people...
Go check them out: Book One, Book Two, Book Three.

I have an inkling that craft books would sell really well. I check out craft blogs fairly regularly & the authors are always banging on about Japanese books. look see...

hi, just wondering why the one you referred to as "book one" says book four on the cover? is there a book one?

Dear anonymous coward,
well because i can't read Kanji and I couldn't find "book one" and this book is in a similar but slightly different format (no English blurb or prominant numbering) so figured the difference is because it is book one and it proved so popular that they stepped it up a gear.
sorry for the misinformation, a genuine mistake since I have no-one to check the details with at this point in time. regardless it is still an excellent book. now i have to find the real book 1.
