Last Saturday night we went into Shinjuku to one of my favourite restaurants, Asia De Cushion for a typically fantastic dinner, followed by a bit of a crawl through Golden Gai where we found a great little place called Lonely with room for 6 customers at a squeeze, just right for us. The staff were friendly and sports mad, with sports memorabilia everywhere alongside old newspaper and magazine ads featuring old performers. After we left and spied a gaudy shemale sitting smoking at a bar, Dave thought it would be funny to open every door of every bar as we walked past. *sigh. I had to chuckle.
