My brother arrives for his first trip to Japan in 8 sleeps. *So* excited.

In other news... well, life goes on. Working. Catching up with friends. Eating. Thinking. Remembering. Quiet times. Sympathy cards - still. Sleeping (oh, and feckin yay, the nightmares have stopped).

Made my first visit to the Australian Embassy on Friday night for a swanky function. Now that was a crackup. Had a great time, primarily because my (Canadian) flatmate Charlene and I helped ourselves to the copious quantities of superb free wine and regaled each other with imagined life stories of the people around us - mostly rich expats and diplomats from all over.

It's a beautiful autumn day, I must be off to enjoy the sun while it's out.
