Tokyo: The neverending story of sayonara parties

The endless cycle of Sayonara Parties in Tokyo. My old Komaba flatmate, Christian, is leaving tomorrow and he's been having quite a number of gatherings - both at the old house and out at Izakaya's. Last night we went to a great 3 level Izakaya in Shinjuku that sells 180 yen beers and cheap eats. The staff are all heavily tattooed and pierced and fast. Anyway, It got quite messy towards the end, as you can imagine. Christian is a sweet, sweet thing and no-one really wants him to go, and as usual, when people get to the end of their time in Japan, when they are free from the stress of their jobs, they realise that it's actually a great place with unlimited potential. Almost everyone says that they regret their decisions and that they'll be back. But they mostly never do come back. I guess life gets in the way.

Anyway, here are some fun party pics from the past few weeks.

Christian (Melbourne) pondering his fate with a number of beers under his belt...
