Bula! Sitting at Nadi airport (Fiji) watching lots of relaxed, sunburnt whiteys with braided hair walking through the departure gate. I'm about to walk through it too, but don't worry, I'm braidless. But most definitely sunburnt. We've had the most wonderful time here in this beautiful place. Post-coup tourism has been booming since 9/11 and of course, the tsunami.

Fijians enjoy drinking a lot of kava (I imbibed 3 large cups of it today in a local village ceremony) and well.... lets just say that "fiji time" takes a little getting used to but once you're in the swing of it it's pretty hard to shake.

So tonight I fly into Brisbane, then tomorrow afternoon depart for Bangkok where I'm staying at the Atlanta Hotel (as recommended by Patrick) till Sunday 9th, when I fly back to Narita, Tokyo to start work again the following evening.

*sigh.
