Gocoo are an astonishing contemporary Taiko band. I saw them play at the Coo festival out at Higashi Yamato Humming Hall a weeks or so ago. Quite mind blowing, hope these photos do them some justice.

Exactly what I was waiting for. Perfect perfect perfect. Thank you Miss Frangipani.
Thanks for sharing Martine. I felt like I was right there watching Kauri & co's amazing performance - you captured the whole thing brilliantly :)

What a funky babe Kaoly is! Love her hair, obviously used to great effect during the show! I saw a promo for these gals and guys playing at Spiral Blg about a year ago, and really wanted to go, but somehow didnt. Now i regret it even more!
Beautiful pics , Martine, and superb colours ...By the way , did anybody tell you , the pink little elephant (lower on your blog )opens way too big when you click on it ...I'm on assignment in Poland right now , where I also take shots on my spare time ...

Hey Marty
love "gocoo" website - the accompanying sounds reminded me of "the big bang". funny.
priced my first digital camera this afternoon. its a toss up between the nikon 5700 or the canon G6 - aesthetically i'm drawn to the N (love the black body), but in terms of quality i guess the G6 is better (5 megp's vs. 7.1 megp's). anyhow the point of me sharing this with you is to say, "cheers!" - you're beautiful pics have inspired me to pick up my camera.
My trusty minolta x300, which is roughly 40 years old, seems a little tired & has a tendancy towards stubborness these days. she has a re-occuring problem with the crank(?), wind-on thingy. but whenever i take it to the doctor she mysteriously performs. the guy apparently wound three-rolls of film through her without any fuss. So, after much consideration & a far degree of
soul-searching (film purist) I've decided to go digital!
of course this decision hinges on my tax return. SE-asia awaits & i'm trying to save my pennies...
bee bee! great to hear from you! where are you now? so glad you're picking up a new camera. i'm a canon girl through and through and if you go for the G6 you'll be getting the latest version of my camera (I have the G3). you have a great eye, can't wait to see your latest photos - will you do a website?
amanda, nic, j-ster, bertrand and kinki, thanks for dropping by. bertrand, i have fixed the elephant pic - thanks for the heads up.
i've been insanely busy and have no energy for posting, but i'm off to yamanashi today for some green time so hopefully i will feel all refreshed for next weeks madness and have some time to post!
