some things will never change, i guess. the cosplay freak show at the entrance to meiji jingu is always fun to show to your international guests - as i was doing today with my old friend from melbourne, mish, in the country for a 10 day suzuki-method-violin-teaching seminar.

we had a great day, focused mostly around roppongi hills and harajuku. i finally made it to the skyview observation deck on the 52nd floor of roppongi hills. i don't know what impressed me more - the incredible views, or the fantastic collection of takashi murakami art in every souvenir shop. definitely will be making the 1500 yen trek up there again on a clear day and probably again at night....
