crafty

there is something about japan that brings out the inner artsy-craftsy craftsperson in us foreigners. many of my friends here have immersed themselves in a variety of new found arts and crafts. pinku is probably the most well known of them, but j-ster is an amazing sewer, the 2 daves i live with have become amazing musicians, tim and seth are writing all the time, and many others have returned to old hobbies with a grand passion. it's a wonderful thing.

To keep you up to date, the search for a housemate has finally been successful, a wonderful Canadian woman will move in next month and she's bringing her...sewing machine! So then we'll have 3!!!! So many people have been getting in contact with me about sewing that im almost seriously thinking about giving lessons!!!

That's interesting. I think for me traveling in general inspires such interests again--my recent move to Italy has definitely brought back some old craft tendencies in me.
