I took these photos yesterday. The eerie night shots were late last night after drinking at the Okinawan Yatai bar over on the over side of the station, near Tokyu, with friends. We ended up hooking up with the owner of Donatella's gelato bar (underneath Iseya, on the way to the park) and OH! India, and he took us back to Donatalla's for after-hours gelato and beer. After that we went down into the park where some rowdy folks were going beserk with fireworks (yes, hanabi has started) and the smoke from them was trapped by the heavy humidity after the last few days heavy rains. Made for beautiful photos. Looking forward to seeing Tylers shots as I only had the powershot g3, not the big canon - but he had his big nikon.

Wow, those are really spooky shots! Great stuff :-) I'll be visiting your page more often in the future Martine. Guess why? I've been transfered back to Europe again. Mixed feelings, but at least I know I can count on you to show Japan at it's finest!

Werner, wow, that's BIG news! 5 years is a long time. I hope the move goes smoothly and that the family settles in happily. I'll look forward to seeing your photo's of Munich! Gambatte, ne.
Gleek, I really hope Tyler gets around to posting them - he seems to have forgotten his blog, and he is off to the States for his bro's wedding on Tuesday...

hey o_6, not really mist - more a combination of firework smoke and dense humidity keeping the smoke trapped in the trees longer than usual....
juggs, I sent you some high res pics, check your inbox....
anne, thanks!
