Australian bloggers based here in Japan (or wherever you may be) may be interested in "a new (free) community resource to bookmark Australian blogs. It is run by three people (in their spare time) and one fantastic patron. All do so on a volunteer basis."
Here is the main list collection: buggerall.com.au;
This is the blog;
And here are some of the amusingly clever link-to-us graphic options.... (I made a cheeky request for smaller, less white images and I think they are in the pipeline now...)
WHAT IS IT? AustralianBlogs.com.au is a free community resource to bookmark your favourite Australian blogs. Similar to del.icio.us (but less invasive - you don't need to register or login), you can add your bookmarks or just browse to see what's popular.WHY?
It is a place where Australian bloggers can showcase their work, and the blog-reading
public can find interesting, relevant and popular Australian blogs.HOW?
By using some basic Web 2.0 features like tags/folksonomy and community bookmarking,
Australian blogs can be categorised easily which makes finding them a whole lot simpler.
You don't have to sign-up to post a bookmark or browse the website. It's a community-
driven site in its purest form.PREREQUISITES:
:: It MUST BE about an Australian subject or topic; OR by an Australian; OR have a .au
domain name.
I just had a bit of a look around the growing list and got waylaid for quite some time. Do yourself a favour.... go take a look at the many different flavors and colours of the Australian Blogosphere - click on the tags that interest you (ie Music, Photography, etc) and get lost for a while. While you're there, add your own blog to the list (erm, that is if if you're Australian....)
My fave find so far: Boudist - a great photographer specialising in music and parties. Fabulous stuff.
