The new Apple shop opened in Shibuya this morning - I went down there with Aiko to check it out at around 1.30, but alas - even 3 and a half hours after the opening, there was still a line around 200 metres long. Needless to say.... I just snapped some pics and agreed to meet Aiko back there same time next week....
In other nerdy/gerky news, I have finally gotten up off my procrastinating arse and started the overhaul of this bloated old relic of mine (this website). Please expect a lot of changes over the coming weeks, especially the gallery which will reappear in a much more professional, clean and well-coded format. I have been so encouraged and surprised by the number of photo sales I have been making lately that it is time to make this a serious income stream. Yo. Back in tinkery-land.
I got my first google-ads cheque this week, and what a drama! Banks in Japan have such a hard time dealing with this relatively unknown concept - I had to go specifically to my branch in Shinjuku and sign all sorts of paperwork, and guess what the bank fee is? ¥4600. So yup. Out of a $100 USD cheque, I get a grand total of around $50 USD. Lucky it is money I didn't really work for. That's where you guys come in. Go ahead.... make my day. Click. Click. Click.

P.S. If people notice any cluncky weird stuff as I'm working on the site, please shoot me an email and let me know. Especially you PC users.

this is actually for an older entry, but i don't know if you'll read that:
"I am having a most serious internal dialogue. Most serious indeed. Ragingly so. 0_^/*
I love my camera. I love my bicycle.
When I ride, I can't take photos.
When I'm taking photos, I can't ride."
glad you dig: bleitently the answer to that
glad you dig: is for her to mount a camera on her head
glad you dig: and put it on auto
glad you dig: as she rides down mt.fuji
glad you dig: at top speed
Rex Anglorum: yeah
Rex Anglorum: post that as a msg to her
if you take this into consideration, we will love you more. if you simply put up a new album, we will also love you more. thanks you.

Tiago, i will most certainly take the MT Fuji bike ride into consideration (yah right) and there will be truckloads of new photos and galleries in the new version of the site, so stay tuned....
Kento, hajimimashite! The best places in Australia are the Northern NSW coastal and hinterland areas around Byron Bay, and up as far as Coolangatta in Sthn Qld, and then again the northern part just north of Brisbane (Maroochydore, Coolum, Noosa) and then everything north of townsville on the coast of Queensland. But DO NOT stop in Townsville which is my most hated town in Australia. Full of rednecks and army jerks who throw eggs at hitchhiking hippies (speaking from personal experience here). Other amazing places include the Barrier reef islands, and Kakadu national park. I haven't been to Hokkaido yet, but I will!

oooh, good to know about the new apple shop - i'll have to go and check it out. the whole queuing-up-for-new-shop thing is a bit different, hey? i can't imagine that happening many other places, especially as you can buy everything from the apple shop in bic camera round the corner.
also, happy to hear about the new galleries - i'm looking forward to seeing them! i am a (usually) silent visitor to your blog but always really enjoy your photos. do you usually use a digital SLR? the colours and framing are gorgeous.
not sure about head-camera for mt fuji but it could have some funny results! probably lots of photos of people looking baffled :)

Suzy, I use a Canon G3 and almost all my pics are digital.. BUT I just got a new scanner and have dusted off the old lomo coloursplash and purchased a vintage Konica that takes gorgeous photos, so I am gonna move back into the realms of cheap film again, very excited.
Bob, enjoy Nagoya. Yes, it's very hot and humid here, always over 31 degrees, often up to 36 or so.
