on tuesday my weekly 60 minute stint at the kawaguchiko montessori kindergarden resumed after a short christmas hiatus. i love my time at this kindergarden. the kids are just incredible. intelligent, fun, sensible, independently minded thinkers and communicators.

the montessori philosophy and practice has some great principals and watching these kids in action, to be involved with them on a teaching level, has impressed me enormously. i have no doubts now that if i ever have a kid, it will be enrolled in a montessori kindy. i work with kids every day but none of them compare to the monty kids (as we affectionately call them).

these photos were all taken after class. many of the pics of kids you see in this website are the monty kids, and they also star in the site banner (when it rotates around to them). i just adore them.
